This egyptian scarab beetle 3d printed pendant was designed and printed by myself. It is printed using pale wood fibre PLA filament. This particular PLA filament has real wood fibres added, so it has the appearance, feel and even smell of wood!
The scarab originated in Ancient Egypt. A scarab is shaped like a dung beetle. The scarab was associated with the god Khepri who was the god or rebirth, creation, and the sun. The scarab was often placed on the chest of egyptian burials to signify to the gods that the person was of true heart and trustworthy so they would not need their heart weighed in order to enter the afterlife. Commonly a scarab symbolises birth, death and rebirth. It is also used as a symbol of protection.
The pendant takes around 75 minutes to print on my 3d printer.
The pendant is supplied on a black waxed cotton cord necklace with a silver plated extension chain and lobster clasp.
It will be supplied on a kraft card necklace card.
